SCHOOL ADVISORY BOARD

The School Advisory Board of St. Andrew's was created in January 1991 to oversee the conduct and the financial affairs of St. Andrew's Preschool and Kindergarten. Meetings are held monthly. The Board consists of committees including Long Range Planning, Scholarship/Outreach, Facilities Management and Nominating. A copy of the bylaws of the Board is available for review in the school office. Any questions regarding the School Advisory Board should be forwarded to the school director.

The primary function of the School Advisory Board is to oversee the conduct of business and financial affairs of the school. Authority for the direction of school life—including the academic, moral, physical aspects, and authority for the conduct of business and financial affairs—is delegated by the rector with the advice and consent of the vestry to the board of trustees of the school.

Lynne grew up in New England and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in economics.  She spent 20 years in the financial services industry, primarily working in the high yield/distressed bond market.  Her son attends St. Andrew's Preschool and the whole family loves the strong sense of community and caring fostered by the incredible teachers and administration at the school.  Lynne is now at home with her kids and is thrilled to have an opportunity to give back by serving on the board of St. Andrew's.  She lives in Summit with her husband and two children.

Suzanne Kruep

Suzanne grew up in the Midwest.  She worked as a nurse in several hospitals in the Midwest and in New Jersey after she relocated there. St. Andrew's Preschool & Kindergarten came highly recommended.  She found the school to be incredibly nurturing both socially and educationally.  Her children have thrived under the many wonderful teachers at St. Andrew's. Suzanne is now at home with her kids and happy to serve on the Advisory Board of St. Andrew's School.  She resides in New Providence with her husband and 2 children.

Bob Cavanagh

Advisory Board Member

Senior Warden

In looking for spiritual enrichment for their family, Bob’s wife, Tara, suggested that since their eldest daughter attends St. Andrew’s Preschool, they should explore the offerings of the Church, as well.  Upon experiencing the spirituality of the Church and the family orientation of the congregation, Bob and Tara knew that St. Andrew’s provided the fulfillment for which they were seeking. Both their daughters attend the Preschool and are active in the Sunday school program, while Tara is a Sunday school teacher and lay reader. Since they discovered St. Andrew’s School & Church in 2013, Bob, too, has taken on an active role in the congregation, attending vestry and school board meetings, and organizing and leading the Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser. Please feel free to reach out to Bob to discuss anything related to either the School or Church.
